Leadership Cattaraugus is pleased to announce a new partnership with the United Way of Cattaraugus & Allegany Counties. Effective immediately, the United Way will be taking on the Program Administrator role for the program.
Jodi Fuller, president of Leadership Cattaraugus’ Board of Directors, sees a natural fit for the partnership with the United Way and its extensive contacts with businesses and organizations across the county. “Leadership Cattaraugus is truly excited to expand our collaboration with the United Way. The collaboration and networking that United Way does throughout our county for its mission of inspiring hope and making a difference is a natural fit with this program administrator role,” said Fuller.
Administration of LC will be covered by Ryan Michelle Wilcox (LeadCatt Alumni Class of 2007), United Way Marketing & Outreach Manager, with oversight by Susan McAuley, Executive Director (LeadCatt Alumni Class of 2016).
Leadership Cattaraugus offers an active, immersive learning experience for professionals from various business sectors and career stages. This 10-month program, which annually hosts a cohort of 20 to 25 participants, aims to identify and cultivate future leaders in the region, equipping them with the skills necessary to work effectively for the betterment of all residents in Cattaraugus County.
Mrs. McAuley stated, “United Way can help push Leadership Cattaraugus forward in a few big ways. First, we have a network of businesses and organizations that offer valuable connections and resources for Leadership Cattaraugus participants. We’re also very involved in the community, so we can help plug participants into important regional issues, building stronger partnerships between Leadership Cattaraugus and our community organizations.”
By utilizing these strengths, United Way can help Leadership Cattaraugus grow and thrive, ensuring it continues to develop effective leaders dedicated to improving the well-being of Cattaraugus County residents.
LC was jointly launched in 2004 by the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Community College, Intandem, and St. Bonaventure University. JCC had served as the original administrator of the program and GOACC had served in that role until February 2024. Both the college and the chamber continue to support the program and the relationship between the entities remains strong.
