Leadership Cattaraugus Looking for New Administrator
As Leadership Cattaraugus (LC) prepares to graduate it’s 21st cohort, the leadership program is also looking for a new administrator.
Jodi Fuller, president of Leadership Cattaraugus’ Board of Directors, said “The United Way has been a great partner, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to program. They are moving in new and exciting directions, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth. Sadly, this also means that they can no longer administer the Leadership Cattaraugus Program.” The United Way has administered the program since 2024 and remains committed to finishing this 2025 program year, scheduled to wrap up in October. Sue McAuley, United Way Director shared, "United Way has appreciated the opportunity to support Leadership Cattaraugus in the administrator role. However, we have decided that we need to focus on our campaign and our support to human services in Cattaraugus & Allegany Counties. We wish Leadership Cattaraugus continued success."
Leadership Cattaraugus is an active, immersive learning experience that welcomes professionals across all business sectors and in all stages of their careers. The 10-month program, which annually welcomes a cohort of 20 to 25 people, is designed to identify future leaders of the area and help them develop the skills they will need to work more effectively for the betterment of all people in Cattaraugus County.
The Leadership Cattaraugus board has established a request for proposal for the administrator position. Those interested in receiving the bid proposal package should contact Ms. Fuller at 716-945-1041 x115 or email jfuller@ccaction.org. Proposals are due by midnight, Friday August 15th; the goal is to have a new administrator in place by October 1st.
“The goals and scope of services include providing oversight, management, and essential administrative services in accordance with policies, and with guidance from the Leadership Cattaraugus Board of Directors. The administrator will foster programmatic growth, integrity, and professional recognition of the Leadership Cattaraugus program,” added Ms. Fuller. Administrator qualifications: must live and/or work in Cattaraugus County, have familiarity with the strengths and challenges of the community, experience and comfort with public speaking, facilitating training, and coordination of events. Leadership Cattaraugus alumni preferred.
The job site/time commitment is 20-25 hours per month and varied locations in the community - dependent upon program day topics and agendas. Leadership Cattaraugus agrees to pay the contractor a total amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per year, for all the work and services rendered by the contractor during the entire term of the agreement.
LC was jointly launched in 2004 by the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Community College, The ReHabilitation Center (now Intandem), and St. Bonaventure University. Since then, the program has educated and supported hundreds of local leaders.
